A First Birthday Dress

Brynn had her first birthday back in April, but I didn’t get a chance to take many nice photos of her, so we had a photo shoot last week in her birthday dress. I saw a dress like this at Carter’s and decided to try to recreate it. It was self-drafted and turned out to be pretty easy to put together.

Looking back at her birthday photos, it’s hard to believe how much she’s changed already in just a few months. She has such a big personality and makes me laugh every day.

This is such a great age. Still small enough to snuggle in my arms, but still very much her own person.

She has this great thing she does when you are holding her and she’s trying to tell you something, but doesn’t think you understand or are listening. She’ll lean forward in your arms until her face is right in front of  yours with her head tilted. It cracks me up.
