Nathan started kindergarten this year…and never have I felt more like a mom than now. Soccer practice, homework, I was even a chaperone for the first time last month. But, the other day he said something to me that I’ve been dreading. The oh so horrible, awful sentence…”But all the other kids wear them.” Gasp! I know, I know not a big deal, but I can’t believe he’s already to that age where he even notices what kids are wearing. And the style he was referring to are tall socks with shorts. Is that cool now? I guess so. Does anyone even say cool anymore? I’m out of the loop. I’ll just have to rely on Jessica from Lil Luxe Collection to steer me in the right direction, because these Mini Moto Pants she designed for boys are super cool. And my son agrees.
The Mini Moto Pants were redesigned for boys and feature a more relaxed fit. The details on these pants make them look so professional. I’ve had a ton of people impressed when they found out I made them. Total ego boost! And they really aren’t as hard to make as you would think. Plus, you have the option of leaving the front details off with some simple steps listed in the tutorial.
I left the front pleating off this pair and added some red stitching on the back pockets. I love little details for clothes!
The pleats are a bit time consuming, but so worth the effort. These pants also feature a zip front and the option of an adjustable waistband. They come in size 18 months up to size 8. Plus with the pattern you get both the boys and girls pattern. They are on sale until November 14 on the Lil Luxe website.
And I leave you with this oh so stellar modeling shot from my son. Such a natural, isn’t he?
