Comfy Cowl Hoodie
I first started sewing after my son was born. While it was my daughter who really made me passionate about it, it was my son who started it all, and I still love to sew for him. It can be a bit harder to find fun and trendy patterns for him, which is why I was so excited when Rebecca of Mummykins and Me came out with the Comfy Cowl Hoodie.
This pattern is for knits, and I used a super soft sweater knit from Sincerely Rylee. I wanted to be selfish and use it for myself, but since my fabric stash is getting embarrassingly close to hoarder status, I decided I could pass this one on. And I’m glad I did. It was perfect for this hoodie.
I used a contrasting fabric for the inside of the hood, which is fun if he wants to wear it facing out. The pattern is also great for girls, but I haven’t had a chance to try it out for my daughter yet. Annnnnd…there is also a women’s version! Yes, please! That is going on the top of my “to sew” list, which at the moment is quite long, but this is worth the add.
The pattern is available on the Mummykins and Me website. If you have a boy in your life that you love to sew for, it’s definitely worth it.
